Insolvency Technician

Job description:

As an Insolvency Technician, you will be responsible for assisting our Insolvency Advisors with the process of managing insolvency cases, including preparing documents, arranging appointments and general administrative support. You will work closely with our clients to guide them through the bankruptcy and consumer proposal processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist insolvency advisors in the daily management of files.
  • Prepare the necessary documents for bankruptcy and consumer proposal files.
  • Organize and manage customer appointments.
  • Respond to customer phone calls and emails.
  • Provide general administrative support to the practice.
  • Ensure the follow-up of files and keep the information management systems up to date.
  • Collection of customer information.
  • Preparation of the file in the specialized insolvency IT system.
  • Administer assets, income and creditor claims during the file.

Requirements:

  • Diploma of college studies (DEC) in administrative techniques or any other relevant training.
  • Recent work experience in one of the following professional environments: licensed insolvency trustee office, law office, notary office or accountant office.
  • Strong clerical and administrative skills.
  • Rigour, desire to learn, ability to work under pressure and positive attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficiency in computer science in general.
  • Knowledge of bankruptcy laws and consumer proposals is an asset.
  • Good command of English is an asset.
