Construction Project Manager (Civil Engineering)

Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job description

We are looking for a Project Manager, Civil Engineering Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the construction field, particularly as a surveyor or foreman, and a solid knowledge of site operations.

You will play a key role in the cost assessment of civil engineering projects by preparing accurate and detailed estimates. Your expertise will help ensure that our projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively and to quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for civil engineering projects, taking into account plans, specifications and other documents.
• Evaluate labor, materials, equipment and subcontractor requirements.
• Analyze bids and collaborate with stakeholders to validate budgets.
• Develop detailed reports on estimates and propose cost optimization strategies.
• Participate in project planning and monitoring to ensure that deadlines and budgets are met.
• Work closely with site teams to understand field realities and provide support technical.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering in Quebec or Canada
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, ideally with practical experience as a surveyor or foreman.
• Solid understanding of construction methods and the stages of a civil engineering project.
• Excellent ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and technical documents.
• Proficiency in computer tools, particularly estimation software (e.g. : AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc.).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Analytical approach and attention to detail.

Assets

• Direct experience on construction sites.
• Certification or training in project management, estimating or related fields.
