Our client, a major law firm in downtown Montreal, wishes to join an assistant in its real estate law section. As such, you will assume an important role in carrying out legal and administrative work. Specifically, you will be asked to:
•Prepare, amend and revise documents related to real estate law and mortgage financing (agreements, mortgages, title searches, real estate transactions);
•Assist in document management and filing of documents;
•Draft and prepare the filing of various documents with the appropriate Registry Office;
•Consult documents and obtain various information on the electronic registers of the Land Register and/or the Registraire des entreprises du Québec;
•Prepare fence binders and follow up as necessary;
•Manage and organize files;
•Draft, edit and revise correspondence and follow up with the internal team;
•Provide customer service by answering calls;
•Perform various administrative tasks.
•Hold a degree in legal secretarial studies, or equivalent;
•Experience of at least 1 year in a professional environment and in real estate law, an asset;
•Bilingualism (oral and written);
•Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite;
•Customer service attitude;
•Excellent communication skills;
•Autonomous, motivated and able to work with multiple stakeholders;
•Organizational, discreet and sense of priorities;
•Strong sense of rigor and attention to detail;
•Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and meet deadlines;
•Positive and flexible attitude, while demonstrating openness to change;
