NV-10As a senior strategic procurement advisor, you help finalize contractual agreements with the organization’s partners for the purchase and rental of goods and services. You procure the products required for operations by planning and coordinating with suppliers. You may be responsible for one or more sub-specialties, such as the strategic sourcing and procurement of goods and services, asset management, contract and partnership management, inventory and restocking, outsourced service management, and governance.You lead development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your specialty area.You make recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in many other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.You serve as a specialist advisor and subject matter expert in your field as well as resource person and coach for decision-making bodies. You represent Desjardins’s position when making major agreements with external providers.

General Information on the Position

More specifically, you provide support in complex procurement operations involving IT solutions. Working in a matrix environment, you play an advisory role in your field of expertise with clients and various stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
