Coordinate construction projects and become the pivot of timelines
Key Information
Job Title: Project Coordinator
Location: South Shore of Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Job Type: Permanent - Full-time
Work Mode: On-site
Salary: $60,000 to $75,000 per year
Join a growing Quebec organization in the construction sector, where upstream coordination of sites is at the heart of project performance. You will directly support project managers in a field-office role: timelines, technical documentation, and follow-ups with multiple stakeholders. Replacement mandate, with a strong possibility of permanence depending on evolving needs.
Responsibilities — deliver reliable coordination before the start of construction
Support project managers in the daily management of multiple files in parallel, ensuring smooth execution of priorities. Plan and track project timelines, then update milestones and actions in Microsoft Planner. Organize project meetings at the office, write minutes, and follow up on actions to maintain stakeholder alignment. Coordinate exchanges between internal teams (design, purchasing, production) to secure the information and decisions necessary at project stages. Finalize technical documentation (specifications, addenda, and related documents) ensuring quality, consistency, and up-to-date versions. Manage the circulation of plans, shop drawings, and technical sheets, then structure the archiving of communications and documents. Conduct rigorous follow-ups with architects, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to quickly resolve blockages.
Profile sought — essential requirements and ways of working
Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position in coordination or administration of construction projects. Communicate in French and English, both orally and in writing, to interact with stakeholders in North America. Read and interpret plans and specifications in a project technical documentation context. Master Microsoft Office, including Excel, as well as Teams and Microsoft Planner. Manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining structured tracking of timelines and documentation. Demonstrate autonomy, initiative, and rigor in prioritization and execution. Collaborate effectively, with a sense of organization and clear communication.
Conditions — work environment, benefits, and schedule
Annual salary of $60,000 to $75,000. Stable schedule, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Access to group insurance, a group RRSP, and a DPSP.
Assets — particularly relevant experience contexts
Have experience in modular construction or on multi-residential or institutional projects. If you enjoy structuring, clarifying, and advancing projects with impeccable follow-ups, this mandate will give you a concrete impact from the first weeks. You will find a collaborative environment where the quality of coordination makes a difference.
