Electromechanical team leader position

Whyte's Foods is a family processing food company that has emerged in 1892, it is the largest producer of pickles, reel and cherries in the marasquin in Canada. Still growing, we have more than 350 employees at our Laval, St-Louis (Quebec), Wallaceburg (in Ontario), and our St. Thérèse distribution center.

Main tasks:

• Ensure to support production activities with the configuration, installation and maintenance of production.
• Ensure that the team responds in due course to reduce downtime as much as possible.
• perform mechanical diagnoses and adjustments or repairs necessary to maintain or start production equipment.
• Supervise employees, evaluate their performance, supervise them and fill the gaps.
• participate actively in the analysis of the root causes and the solving problems.
• Make sure the team follows the preventive maintenance plan ensuring that the workshop and the reserve are tidy.
• supervise and plan the schedule of the mechanic team.
• Ensure compliance with factory, food safety, food and environmental quality policies in effect within the company.
• Identify the necessary work on the building, organizes and supervises the work.
• perform all other related tasks.

Minimum requirements:

• electromechanical training and at least 5 years of experience as a mechanic in the food field.
• excellent skills of communication and teamwork.
• Knowledge of SQF and HAPEP rules (an asset).
• Basic knowledge of the Office Suite (an asset).
• bilingualism (an asset).
