As a Buyer, you will play a key role within our organization. Your main mission will be to effectively manage the purchasing process to meet the operational needs of the company in a constantly changing competitive environment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve these objectives.

Main responsibilities:

 
Purchasing Management:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies in collaboration with the company's key partners.
  • Apply and improve purchasing policies for the acquisition of essential goods and services.
  • Optimize costs and monitor performance indicators.

 

Procurement Policies:

  • Develop, recommend and implement procurement policies, programs and plans.
  • Manage inventory to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Effectively control costs related to the transportation of procurement.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts in compliance with legal and financial requirements.

 

Market Monitoring:

  • Ensure constant monitoring of the market, monitoring the evolution of products and technologies.
  • Monitor trends in indicators influencing prices in the medium and long term.
  • Analyze market conditions to determine service availability and prices.

 

Supplier Quality Management:

  • Regularly evaluate supplier performance in collaboration with the quality assurance group.
  • Establish and strengthen business relationships with suppliers.
  • Manage disputes, penalties and supplier non-conformities.

 

Calls for Tenders and Negotiations:

  • Prepare calls for tenders by clearly defining the requirements for suppliers.
  • Qualify the best suppliers to conclude supply agreements.

 

Budget Management:

  • Develop and monitor budgets related to purchases.
  • Manage all budgetary expenditures and contribute to the preparation of the annual budget.

 

 

Required profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management or any other field related.
  • 5 years of experience in the purchasing function, ideally in the dairy or agri-food sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of dairy products, plant materials, packaging and ingredients.
  • Mastery of national or even international networks in your field (an asset).
  • Bilingualism in English and French, both spoken and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, ERP and data management tools.
  • Strong negotiation skills, excellent communicator, structured and organized.
  • Ability to manage risk and work in a team.
