Accounts Payable Technician

For over 50 years, Construction Gély has been actively involved in the development of the Great North and the vitality of the communities where the company is located. Our team has successfully completed unique projects such as:

  • A school in Taloyoak;
  • An aircraft hangar in Iqaluit;
  • A waste transfer station in Iqaluit;
  • And much more!

Our finance department, made up of 7 colleagues, participates in the realization of these.

TASK

  • Validate purchase orders, delivery notes, prices with invoices and codify them;
  • Ensure proper accounting in the system;
  • Issue payments according to authorizations, within the prescribed time limits according to the payment terms, while applying the appropriate discounts and/or deductions;
  • Review the account statements sent by suppliers;
  • Ensure the verification of credit card account(s);
  • Open accounts and carry out the necessary verifications;
  • Produce the monthly report(s) of taxes;
  • Maintain certain expense tracking tables and/or reports up to date;
  • Support the payables team during heavier workloads;
  • Participate in various special mandates and perform any other related task(s).

Please note:Following the implementation of the new ERP system, tasks will be required to evolve according to the new ways of doing things.

REQUIRED REQUIREMENTS

  • DEP or AEC in accounting/administration or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum 5 yearsof relevant experience in the field;
  • Good knowledge of the suite office;
  • Autonomy, attention to detail, resourcefulness and rigor.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full-time job (37.5 hours), permanent from Monday to Friday;
  • 20 days of annual vacation and 2 flexible days;
  • Closure (paid) of offices during the holiday period;
  • Flexible schedule;
  • Compressed work week possible;
  • Possibility of one day of teleworking per week;
  • Group insurance covered at 75% by the employer and health credit account;
  • Group savings plan with employer contribution;
  • Closed office, air conditioning and heating with independent control for each office;
  • Free hot beverages (coffee, tea, etc.).
