The Montréal West Island Integrated University Health and Social Services Center (MWI IUHSSC) results from the amalgamation of the West Island Health and Social Services Centre, the Centre de la santé et de services sociaux (CSSS) de Dorval-Lachine-LaSalle, St. Mary’s Hospital Center, the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, the West Island Readaptation Centre, the Grace Dart Extended Care Centre, Batshaw Youth and Family Centres and St. Anne Hospital.

Overall, the IUHSSC has 47 points of service in Montreal and two facilities of Batshaw Youth and Family Centres outside of Montreal.

It employs 10,500 people, and its 2012-2013 budget reached $703 million.

The IUHSSC is located in the West Island of Montreal, covers an area of 184 km2, and has an estimated population of 368,740. It also covers four boroughs of the City of Montreal (Lachine, L'Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève, LaSalle and Pierrefonds–Roxboro) and eight connected cities (Baie-D'Urfé, Beaconsfield, Senneville, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Kirkland, Pointe-Claire and Dorval), which represents 38% of Montreal's territory.
