Collection Development Agent I

Following precise instructions, the responsible person performs various verification, shipping, and processing tasks for documents and items intended for libraries.

More specifically, you:

• Verify the accuracy of orders and invoices and check the physical condition of received documents and items;
• Use the appropriate modules of the integrated library management system to transmit documents and items to libraries and/or suppliers;
• Perform material preparation and minor repairs on documents/items;
• Verify, compile, and enter any information related to collection development and inventories;
• Use all office devices and equipment made available to you in the course of your responsibilities and report any operational anomalies according to established policies and procedures.

• Hold a secondary school diploma (Grade 12);
• Have three (3) months of relevant experience for the position;
• Be comfortable with computers;
• Enjoy dynamic work;
• Have good communication skills in French, both oral and written;
• Care about the satisfaction of the citizens of the City of Laval;
• Be recognized for your organizational skills, attention to detail, and teamwork spirit.
