In this context, the Director of Legal Affairs plays a central role of protection, influence, and strategic anticipation.
Reporting to the Presidents, the incumbent:
Assumes complete management of the Legal Department and its resources.
Proactively contributes to the organization's strategic direction.
Protects the interests of the company and its management in a context of high legal, political, and reputational stakes.
Develops innovative and preventive strategies to secure the Group's growth and sustainability.
Oversee strategic monitoring and ensure compliance of all activities with applicable standards (CMQ, Santé Québec, MSSS, Accreditation Canada, ACPM, etc.).
Manage and secure processes related to operating licenses for Operating rooms, clinics, and laboratories.
Develop proactive legal, political, and reputational risk management strategies.
Ensure, as a priority and strategic matter, the management of disputes related to:
Medical practice and professional liability,
Employee and partner contracts,
Contractual or commercial disputes.
Supervise or assume the organization's representation before judicial and administrative bodies, including the negotiation of settlements Strategic.
Oversee and negotiate the organization's strategic agreements:
Contracts with physicians in Quebec and outside the province,
Agreements with suppliers and strategic partners,
Financing contracts with financial institutions,
Commercial leases and corporate documents.
Ensure that all agreements incorporate a legal, commercial, and strategic vision aligned with growth objectives.
Lead, develop, and mobilize a team of lawyers and paralegals, with a leadership style focused on performance, rigor, and collaboration.
Promote an internal culture of integrity, confidentiality, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Implement high-level legal governance and contract management tools.
Play a key advisory role to management and decision-making bodies.
Assess the impact of legislative and policy changes and anticipate threats to the practice of private medicine in Quebec.
Formulate recommendations clear, strategic, and focused on sustainable growth.
Select, supervise, and manage external firms in specialized cases.
Optimize the use of external resources while ensuring strategic and budgetary control.
Member of the Barreau du Québec in good standing.
15+ years of relevant experience, including a solid background in litigation and strategic consulting in medium- to large-scale organizations.
Expertise in health law, law corporate and commercial, combined with a detailed understanding of the regulatory and political environment of the private healthcare sector.
Proven experience leading a legal department, with a demonstrated ability to advise senior management and shareholders on complex strategic decisions.

Strategic vision and the ability to progress to an executive (VP) role.
Proven skills in high-level negotiation, crisis management, and communication with decision-making and political bodies.
Annual Salary: $250,000 to $300,000
Vacation: 4 weeks + 8 statutory holidays per year
