SCHEDULE: 33.75 hours per week, DAY; MONDAY to FRIDAY - 09:00 to 17:00

The challenges that await you

Under the authority of the manager – development and support, you will be called upon to collaborate in the implementation of programs and policies related to the products and services offered by the library. You will coordinate the work of employees assigned to these activities. Additionally, you will supervise documentary research activities as well as information and inquiry services intended for the relevant staff.

More specifically:

  • Assists their superior in the development and application of policies and programs in their area of activity;
  • Participates in meetings, discussions, or gatherings with employees from other divisions to identify issues within their area of expertise and find appropriate solutions;
  • Provides, analyzes, and interprets various statistics on the use of documents and services offered and submits them to their superior;
  • Writes and periodically submits to their immediate superior any relevant working document and/or report;
  • Exerts technical and professional supervision: gives advice and explains to their colleagues the methods and procedures, the application of certain directives or policies;
  • Ensures compliance with current policies and regulations and provides reports to this effect to their superior;
  • Coordinates working committees to propose and develop products, services, procedures, and regulations for the library.
The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a master's degree in library science and/or information science;
  • Have two (2) years of relevant experience related to the activities described in the summary;
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and practices, particularly regarding quality, harmonization, confidentiality, and security;
  • Ability to define and develop measurable management indicators and ensure their monitoring;
  • Ability to translate business needs into analytical data models and master the principles of dimensional modeling;
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis methods, including descriptive analysis and diagnostic analysis;
  • Mastery of languages and tools for data analysis and visualization, including SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel features;
  • Knowledge of advanced data analysis techniques (predictive analysis, segmentation, etc.) is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Python is an asset.
